Project Description

The Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) planned road widening project of Wire Road required the relocation of both municipal and franchise utilities along this newly acquired highway right-of-way corridor. Hawkins-Weir Engineers, Inc. (HW) coordinated the relocation of approximately 3,600 feet of the City of Mulberry, Arkansas’ water line with AHTD road widening plans and franchise utility relocations. The water line relocation project was funded by the AHTD and was required to conform to the “Buy American” regulations of Title 23 C.F.R. 635.410. HW provided project design services, construction observation, and construction management services.
