Project Description

After completing the first phase of the new City Park, the City of Mulberry, Arkansas applied for grant funds to construct a walking trail through the Arkansas Department of Parks and Tourism’s Trails for Life grant program. The City was awarded a grant through the Healthy Arkansas Initiative. The project was designed to comply with ADA standards and includes approximately 1,030 feet of asphalt and concrete walking trail. The project provides the community with a safe and convenient all-weather trail and is intended to promote a healthy and active lifestyle. Hawkins-Weir provided grant application assistance, project design services, construction observation, and construction management services.
