Project Description

This project consists of a new 7,600-square foot upscale convenience store/market/café located at the intersection of Garrison Avenue and North 5th Street in Fort Smith, Arkansas. The Owner’s desire was to enhance the downtown Fort Smith area with its upscale appearance and décor, and to promote the history of the downtown Fort Smith area. Hawkins-Weir (HW) was hired by Griffin Properties of Fort Smith, LLC to provide the design of site civil improvements, platting, and structural design of the decorative fuel canopy. The grading plan, drainage system design, utility service layout, fire protection improvements, parking lot layout, and pavement design represented the engineering provided by HW.
